The Things You Do
080906
Boy
the things you do to me
I can't help myself
sometimes
when we're naked & our hips are fitting
just like that
I just wanna battle rap
beat by beat
rhyme & flow
but boy
the things you do to me
I can't talk straight
sometimes
when dark is falling & the days are shorter
all the time
I just wanna stay up late
keep my pants on
& call you ridiculous
but boy
the things you do to me
I can't believe my luck
sometimes
when you slide & I slip
all night right
I just wanna do you like men
do
hard working shirtless sweat shining
but boy
the things you do to me
I can't leave this porch
sometimes
when it's late afternoon & we just woke up
shadows slanting
I just wanna rock here
in this rocking chair
& split cigarettes with you
but boy
the things you do to me
I can't keep my mouth shut
sometimes
when you breathe so light & mutter nonsense
into pillows
I just wanna watch you sleep all day
play big spoon little spoon
& nuzzle all your freckles
but boy
the things you do to me
I just can't stop myself
sometimes

While that is not interesting nor helpful feedback, its what I've got.
I think it's much better out loud. I read it at open mic one week and was seriously startled at how much better it was--and this is a poem I (wierdly enough) liked when I wrote it.
